Job Description

As Project Manager/Project Engineer you will be expected to be autonomous - responsible for all time, budget and quality aspects of the projects you are managing. You will run the projects but have the support of the Senior PMs & Directors. There will be some travel involved to projects that are not in Melbourne.


Your core duties in this role will include:


  • Driving high quality outcomes;

  • Client & stakeholder management;

  • Programming;

  • Design & documentation management;

  • Review of Contractor designs;

  • Managing site teams and personnel;

  • Ensuring best practice in quality & safety;

  • Procurement;

  • Project administration including contract management;

  • Budget & cashflow management;

  • Reporting; and

  • Site inspections and audits.


About You


The right candidate will demonstrate that they have been in a project management or a project engineering role for a minimum of 3 years, with an electrical engineering degree.


You will be proactive, crave learning, and be driven to deliver high quality outcomes. You’ll be able to juggle multiple projects and conflicting priorities. You will have already been involved with projects from start to finish. You will want to own your projects and be willing to assist other team members with your industry knowledge. You will want to eventually progress to a senior level and help your team build the business even further.



  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a project management or project engineer role;

  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree essential;

  • Knowledge of building industry contracts, sound administration practices;

  • Competent in Microsoft Office incl MS Project;

  • Exceptional ability to communicate at all levels;

  • Efficient time management and organisation;

  • Knowledge of Australian Standards for electrical systems (both HV & LV); and

  • Experience in electrical design and construction practices (both HV and LV).



  • Registered on the NER;

  • Experience in a consultancy;

  • Experience with SCADA systems;

  • Hands-on experience on a construction site; and

  • Experience with Procore.
